Borin in 1952, Manoj Sarkar graduated from The Government College of Art & Craft, Calcutta in 1976. The artist uses sharp–defined colour schemes with his own inimitable style, that achieve a distinctive look in his paintings. The artist has participated in over 125 national exhibitions including shows in India, Italy, England, and Holland. His works are part of collections such as Lalit Kalka Akademy, New Delhi, Gallery of Modern Art – Mumbai, Birla Academy of Art & Culture, Kolkata, Defence Head Quarters, Govt. of India, Senate Hall, University of Calcutta, Plazza Del Comune, Perugia, Italy, India house and many more.
